I got the Poison Spyder hood vent installed on my JK for our 4th of July trip to Sedona Arizona. I think the hood actually saved us from a motor melt down! It was 115 Deg. today, driving home on I-10 from Phoenix to Tucson in the middle of the day (ooops!), very small up-grade for a 100 miles, 35" tires, loaded down Jeep, while towing an expedition trailer...absolute worse case scenario. Horsepower was down because of the intense desert conditions, but the hood vent did its job, and let the heat out, and kept us going down the road. I am SO glad that I installed the vent before this trip. It was shipped fast, and it looks great too!

A great piece of kit ....stylish and being where I live the most noticeable difference is that my AC now runs cooler and in 45c + heat that's welcome.
Have had 4 offers to buy my JK since fitting :-)
Only thing I would say is might be helpful to shade where the hood braces are so extra care can be taken....my hood was glued tight to the brace so some remedial work was needed.
Great stuff Poison Spyder !

I was so excited to receive my  hood louver! The instructions could not have been more clear or precise! The installation went off without a hitch and looks awesome!! I get stopped all the time & complimented on my Jeep. Also Starlie could not have been more helpful!!

Not only was the install a cakewalk thanks to PSC's excellent template (we installed two of them in just a few hours), it looks awesome! And most importantly, it WORKS. You can see the heat coming out of the louver, and my Jeep seems to be staying cooler much more easily. If you live in the south or the desert, you need this.

Installation went great, only issue was that four of the holes near the cowl intake of the JK required a trip to the hardware store to buy longer bolts by 1/4".  The brace under that portion of the hood is so thick that only one or two of the threads were exposed after passing the bolts through the drilled holes.

Great product! The instructions are really easy to follow and while time consuming fairly easy to install. As for performance, I've had it on for about a month now and I've notice increased gas mileage and the fan doesn't kick on nearly as often as before. I'm very happy with it. Well worth it!
