Poison Spyder offers a variety of DIY kits for home fabricators to add sliders or Rico Steps™ to their existing rocker panel armor.
With the DIY Slider Tube Kit you can add a rugged, DOM tube slider to your home-built or other manufacturer's rocker protectors. The kit includes the slider tubes as well as the short tube supports to brace the center of the tube against the rocker. There are two kits available, one for short wheelbase Jeeps (CJ-7, YJ & TJ) and one for long wheelbase (CJ-8 & LJ).
With the DIY Rico Step™ Kit you can add a rugged, DOM tube slider and entry step to your home-built or other manufacturer's rocker protectors. These components are similar to those used in our famous Ricochet Rockers™. The kit includes the slider tubes, short support tubes, and CNC laser cut gussets and Rico Step with inverted dimples for foot traction. There are two kits available, one for short wheelbase Jeeps (CJ-7, YJ & TJ) and one for long wheelbase (CJ-8 & LJ).
The DIY Rico Step™ Kits for JK 2-Door and 4-Door allow the do-it-yourselfer to add a heavy duty rub rail and entry step to the stock Jeep JK Rubicon rocker rails. The components provided in the kit are similar to Poison Spyder's "Ricochet Rockers", hence the name of the kit. The kit includes DOM tube rub rails, Rico Steps and end gussets. The DOM tube pieces are CNC bent and pre-notched, ready to weld on. The Rico Steps and gussets are laser cut from 3/16 plate steel. The steps are brakke-formed to provide extra strength and reverse-dimpled for foot traction.
All kits include the components to do both sides of the Jeep. We do not recommend welding them to the stock sheetmetal or to steel thinner than 1/8", with 3/16" being the ideal plate thickness to weld them to. All kits should be installed by a certified welder.
