lovers lower under hood temps	March 13, 2014

I ordered these hood lovers after installing a turbo kit for my LE with a 4.0l, 6 cylinder engine. There was a very noticeable decrease in intake temperatures and when intake temps do climb, like after a hard acceleration, they quickly drop back to normal. Prior to installing the hood lovers intake temps would stay high after a hard acceleration. In addition, the louvers look as good as they work to lower under hood temps. I recommend them to anyone who is concerned about under hood temps in their TJ or LJ.

Easy to set up and put on	January 25, 2014

Nice prod. If you can read you can handle this. Do make sure you remove hood. Glad I did. Found useing jigsaw worked best. Put padding on saw so as not to mess up paint. Then enjoy. But didn't get my christmass ornament.

this comes painted but no color selection, if you want any other color besides black you have to take it somewhere else to pay more money to have that done. shipping is a stupidly high price and didn't come with the stickers it was suppose to come with

Very simple to install. Glad it came with some extra bolts as two of them snapped. That would be my only suggestion is to use better grade bolts.
On the first trail ride I noticed the engine temp stayed approximately 25-30 degrees cooler.

Very rarely you find such exceptional customer service.
PS staff went out of the way to ensure that my Louver was delivered within my requested time and of course the product quality is much better than what the other louver manufactures are offering

Very cool looking vents	September 14, 2013

My TJ would suffer from high engine bay temps, slow 4WD trails and mud holes would do that... The hood louver not only looks cool it works really well. I was going to use a basic vent/hole louver, so glad I didn't, very happy with the product. Excellent service as well, happy to sort out orders and issues if they arise. Competitive price, fast delivery. As soon as I opened the box, I knew I would not do justice to it by installing it myself; so I took it to a body shop that did a professional install. The owner of the shop was impressed by the fit and finish. He said he is going to get one for his own TJ. Aesthetically, the front of the truck is enhanced as the large flat hood is now broken up by the black outline and the louvers. The Spyder logo gives just the right amount of accent. Functionally, I can now touch the hood again after long drives in the desert; the louvering releases the trapped air inside that heats the metal hood of the engine bay. I also find that now I can smell the engine more...which is like roses to a guy like me. Finally, I get lots of looks, compliments, and inquiries about the hood louver. Five stars!!!
