Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers™ are the ultimate protection for your Jeep's vulnerable rocker panel area. As the trails get tougher and recreational off-roading gets more and more hardcore, vehicle body damage becomes more prevalent. And rocker panels are most vulnerable, taking hits from both underneath and the sides as you work your way through tight obstacles.
Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers™ protect your rocker panels by cladding them in rugged, high strength 3/16" plate steel armor. Rocker Knockers™ are manufactured to hug the lines of your Jeep's rocker panels perfectly, forming a glove-fit with virtually no loss of valuable ground clearance. Specifically engineered for most Jeep CJ, YJ, TJ and LJ models, Rocker Knockers™ are CNC laser cut from high strength 3/16" plate steel, and precisiion brake-formed for a perfect fit. Bolt holes are countersunk for the included stainless steel flat head hardware, which yields a flat, unobstructed surface to slide over obstacles. All mounting hardware is included as well as detailed installation instructions. Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers™ bolt to your Jeep's body in key areas, and interface with strenghtened areas of the underside of the tub such as body mounts, strenthening ribs, etc. Because they mount to the body itself, there is no resulting gap or misalignment when a body lift is installed.
For added side protection on the trail, Rocker Knockers™ can be ordered with the optional tubular Slider. The Slider is crafted of high strength DOM structural tubing, welded to the Rocker Knocker™ with additional DOM tube spacers. The result is a combination of rocker panel protection and a tubular slider to keep your rig's bodysides a few precious inches away from taller rocks and trees. The Slider may also become an integral part of your driving strategy, as it may be useful to pivot the vehicle around obstacles while searching for traction. It also serves as a short entry step, assisting entry and egress. For those who want a more purpose-built entry step, check out Poison Spyder's Ricochet Rockers™.
For installations in which you would like to protect the paint underneath the Rocker Knocker, as well as provide a measure of vibration absorption, we offer an optional Rubber Liner, precisely cut to fit between the Rocker Knocker and the Jeep's body. Be sure to order these separately, as they're not included in the standard Rocker Knocker™ package.
For Do-It-Yourselfers, we offer the slider tubes by themselves in kit form. With the DIY Slider Tube Kit you can add a rugged, DOM tube slider to your home-built or other manufacturer's rocker protectors. The kit includes the slider tubes as well as the short tube supports to brace the center of the tube against the rocker, to do both sides of the Jeep. We do not recommend welding them to the stock sheetmetal or to steel thinner than 1/8", with 3/16" being the ideal plate thickness to weld them to. Installation should be performed by a certified welder.

This product ships as bare steel—it will need to be painted or powder coated prior to final installation. We do not offer a powder coat option for this item.
IMPORTANT: Some of the installed images below depict an earlier version of these Rocker Knockers™, which had a deeper cut-out in order to reveal the "Unlimited" decal on the side of the Jeep. The current Rocker Knocker™ design is like the uninstalled photo, where there is only a slight dip in the topline of the Rocker Knocker™ to clear the Jeep logo. The current design COVERS the "Unlimited" decal.
