We're starting to work on the 2016 Poison Spyder Calendar, and this year we're changing things up a bit! For 2016, it will be a Spyder Girls calendar, featuring several of our lovely Spyder Girls, past and present winners and contestants. About half of the photos used in the calendar will be chosen from our existing library of past Spyder Girl photo shoots, and about half of them will be chosen from YOUR submissions! Submitted photos which are chosen for publication in the Calendar will earn a $50 Poison Spyder Gift Certificate, 5 copies of the 2016 Spyder Girls Calendar, and immortality as a Poison Spyder Calendar Girl!

There are TWO ways to submit your photo(s) for consideration in the 2016 Spyder Girls Calendar. The first way to do it is in conjunction with entering our Search For the Next Spyder Girl Contest. If you've never been a contestant in one of our Spyder Girl contests, this is the only way you can submit your photos for the calendar, as you must be a past or current Spyder Girl contestant to be eligible for our Spyder Girls calendar.

Past Spyder Girl contestants who do not wish to enter the current Search For the Next Spyder Girl Contest but would like to submit photos for consideration in the calendar, may do so without entering the Spyder Girl contest. Photos may be submitted until Monday, August 31, 2015, by doing the following:

• Email your photo(s) to [email protected]. Put "2016 Spyder Girls Calendar Submission" in the subject line. Submissions will only be accepted from the girl in the photo. Please do not submit photos of someone else. If you would like someone's photo to be considered, you must have her submit it herself.
• Submit only HIGH RESOLUTION image files. The preferred image resolution is at least 3,000 pixels wide. Image must be horizontal orientation (otherwise known as "landscape", or wider than tall). Images oriented vertically can not be used. Please send the original version of the image. Images that have been extensively edited with effects, borders, textures, etc. will not qualify (minor editing for color correction or flaws is acceptable). THESE IS VERY IMPORTANT! Images not meeting these requirements will be automatically rejected for consideration.
• Send the image file as an attachment. Do not send it embedded into the text of the email message. This is also very important.
• Include the following information in the text of the email:
  • Your name (first and last)
  • Your age
  • Your home town
  • The year you were a Spyder Girl Contestant, and whether you were a Top Ten finalist that year

If you're wondering what kind of subject matter we're looking for, here are a few pointers.

• Number One Rule: Keep it Classy! This is not a swimsuit calendar, we're not looking for the most scantily clad ladies. Swimsuits are fine if they fit the context of the image (at the beach, etc.), but this is not a contest to see who can show the most skin. Yes we want the ladies to look great, and even sexy, but we want the calendar to be respectful, classy, and "safe for work" so that we can hang them on our office walls without getting a notice from human resources.
• There MUST be a Jeep in the photo along with the girl. But the photo should focus on the girl, as the main subject matter, it needn't be panned wide enough to show the entire Jeep. The Jeep can and should just be background, not the focus of the shot.
• It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that the Jeep in the shot either have Poison Spyder parts on it, or otherwise be stock. Photos that prominently show aftermarket equipment manufactured by Poison Spyder's competitors will likely not be chosen.
• Feel free to send in as many shots as you want, for consideration. The more we have to choose from, the better your chances. Just remember the above notes and the resolution requirements for each photo.

• All submitted images become the property of Poison Spyder Customs, Inc., to use on our website, social media, print media, etc., for any use, without further compensation or permission
• Submissions must be made before midnight, August 31, 2015.
• Compensation packages for those whose photos were used will be distributed after the 2015 calendar has been printed (sometime from September through November, 2014).
