couple of problems - had to grind the back of the trailer hitch to get the bumper to fit on the factory mounts; the tire mount wiggles with just a 33" tire - the one part of a tire carrier you would expect to be strong !!!

would be nice if powder-coat was an option

should have better illustrations with instructions - perhaps a step-by-step video (although you can figure it out eventually)

the hinge is really well designed and really strong

This thing is Bad Ass !! Very well made, Extremely solid. The fact that it opens with the door makes it worth every penny. These guy put a lot of thought into this and it works very well. Installation was quite easy, the bottom line is, this is a very stout bumper system.

I am extremely pleased with the end product however, the following would have made assembly worry free;
- please include the correct assembly sheet in order. (instructions for different model JK Rock Brawler with tire carrier was included)
- label parts included (bolts/washers) the installation PDF online specified bolts/parts and sequence of assemble. It ended up as a trial and error exercise
- need better graphics in the assembly instructions (i.e. an exploded sketch of the Pivot point assembly would have saved some time)
- consider official Poison Spyder assembly videos

This is an expertly crafted product and there is nothing not to like about it. The install is fairly easy and straight forward. As often is the case with such products, the install instructions could be better. The ones available are for an earlier model of the bumper. Likewise some of the provided hardware was not for this bumper.

Excellent quality and workmanship. The instructions were a little vague. A couple of pictures would have helped; one exploded view and the other a picture of it installed on the Jeep.
I purchased because of the YouTube video that walked me through the product...very effective. Will buy again.

Fantastic bumper and tire carrier. Be ready to cut a wrench in half for the drivers side but other than that, real easy install. And being able to open the tail gate like normal is awesome.

the bumper is built very well.  the pivot point is very strong.  I do not like how noisy it is off road.  it rattles where it connects to the tail gate.  I have adjusted it quite a few  times to get it fit together tight.
